【India Air Crash】Ministry of Foreign Affairs: No Malaysian Citizens

(Kuala Lumpur, 13th) The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that no Malaysian citizens were involved in the Indian Airlines AI171 flight crash that occurred near Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat, India, on Thursday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the Consulate General of Malaysia in Mumbai has confirmed this news and is closely monitoring the latest developments of the incident. Updates will be provided as necessary.

According to reports sent earlier by Bernama from New Delhi, an Air India Boeing 787-8 aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport at 1:38 PM local time. The flight was en route to London, carrying a total of 242 people, including 12 crew members.
According to a statement released by Air India, there were 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, 1 Canadian citizen, and 7 Portuguese citizens on flight AI171.
