【Epstein Case】Clinton Questioned by Congress, Says 'Did Nothing Wrong'

On the 27th, former U.S. President Bill Clinton was questioned by congressional staff in New York State regarding the Epstein case. He explicitly denied any knowledge of the late financier Epstein's crimes and emphasized that he had never acted inappropriately.

According to foreign media reports, Clinton stated at the questioning that he "saw nothing" and "did nothing wrong." He explained that he was very clear about what he saw and heard, and more importantly, he was sure about what he had not seen. He sternly stated that had he detected any abusive behavior by Epstein at the time, he would have taken the initiative to report it.

The day before, Clinton's wife, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was also questioned by congressional staff regarding the case. Hillary claimed she knew nothing of Epstein's crimes and emphasized that she had never met him.

According to The New York Times, Clinton responded to the questioning in a more mild tone than Hillary. He admitted to having had contacts with Epstein and was willing to answer related questions, but insisted that he knew nothing of his criminal acts and had cut ties with Epstein before his first guilty plea.

This round of questioning was conducted privately in New York State and lasted for two days.

Epstein, during his lifetime, had close ties to many prominent figures in American politics and business. After being arrested on sex crime charges, he died in prison in August 2019, with officials ruling it as "suicide." On December 19, 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice formally released files on the Epstein case on its official website, with a large portion of the content involving former President Clinton, sparking intense public attention.
