An Indonesian man was recently accused by local residents of raping a disabled woman, leaving her severely traumatized both physically and mentally. The man initially hid in a neighbor's house for refuge, but was discovered by a crowd while out searching for food, whereupon he was lynched and his genitals were cut off!
Later, the man's body was dragged onto the street by the angry group in protest, and someone uploaded videos of the incident online, causing them to go viral and attract police attention and intervention.
According to local media reports, the 47-year-old Ali was pursued by residents in Gowa, Indonesia, on November 30, accused of raping a disabled woman, resulting in her serious injuries and psychological trauma, and sparking widespread anger. In order to evade capture, Ali hid at a relative's house in the forest, but was caught by residents on December 3 while venturing out for food. He was then lynched with clubs, stones, and machetes.
Some residents stated that Ali was a repeat offender known for theft in the local area and had only recently been released. Being accused once again of committing such a heinous crime pushed residents to the brink, leading them to dismember his body and genitals, tie them to a motorcycle, and drag them through the streets as crowds cheered.
After receiving notification, the police arrived at the scene and confirmed that the suspected sexual assault incident circulating online was genuine, but said a further investigation would be conducted to clarify the circumstances. In addition, police have sent out more officers to patrol neighborhoods in order to maintain control of the situation.
