"Japanese Drama Queen" Ryoko Yonekura is in big trouble! On the 26th of last month, she admitted that her home was searched by investigators. FNN (Fuji News Network) reported on the 20th that she has been referred to prosecutors for investigation on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

The report indicated that the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare’s Narcotics Control Department suspected Ryoko Yonekura and her Argentinian dancer boyfriend of being involved with illegal drugs. Last summer, they searched both of their related residences. Reportedly, during the process, items suspected to be drugs were seized, and after identification, were confirmed to be illegal drugs. Although Yonekura’s boyfriend has already left Japan, the Narcotics Control Department continues to investigate from the perspective of “joint possession,” and is still conducting searches to confirm details such as the ownership of the drugs.

In December last year, Ryoko Yonekura released a statement on her agency’s official website: "As reported in some media, it is true that investigators searched my home. I will continue to cooperate with the investigation, but based on the current progress, I believe this matter has come to a close." After the Tokyo District Prosecutors Office receives the referral documents, they are expected to carefully review further possible actions.
