Global OTT Awards Results Announced: Song Weilong and Tian Xiwei's Popularity Surges Ahead

The Global OTT Awards were held on the 20th in Busan, South Korea. The popularity awards were both swept by Chinese stars: Best Male Actor went to Song Weilong and Best Female Actor went to Tian Xiwei. With 7.82 million and 7.06 million votes respectively, they overwhelmingly defeated strong competitors such as Kim Seon-ho and Tseng Jing-hua.

On stage, Song Weilong took out a note and said in Korean, 'I am Chinese actor Song Weilong. I am very happy to receive this award.' He then expressed his thanks in Chinese, grateful for everyone who likes his drama 'The Sun Misses Me' and loves 'Lin Yusen', hoping everyone is happy every day, wishing happiness and joy, saying, 'The sun misses me and also misses you!'

Tian Xiwei, who was recently rumored to be with Zhang Linghe, declared in English that she is an actress from China: 'I am very happy to be here and to have received this award. Thank you to everyone who loves 'The Jade Hunt' and the character 'Fan Changyu', and thank you to my fans. I hope I can bring you more and better work in the future. Thank you.' She finished by making a heart gesture on her cheek and said 'I love you' in Korean.

Taiwanese actor Tseng Jing-hua, playing the stormy murderer 'Li Renyao' in 'If I Had Never Seen the Sun', successfully defeated powerful opponents such as Hyun Bin, Kim Seon-ho, Ryoma Takeuchi, and Song Weilong, taking home the Best Actor award. He likened his surprise to riding a rollercoaster, and thanked his director, his three beautiful female co-stars, and other actors. Korean actress Shin Hye-sun won Best Actress for 'Sarah's Real & Fake Life'. The Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards went to Jung Sung-il from 'Made in Korea' and Nana (Im Jin-ah) from 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan', respectively.
