A raging fire engulfed four adjacent double-storey terrace houses, but fortunately there were no casualties.
At 3:06 pm on Friday, the Fire and Rescue Department received a report of a fire on Jalan 4/7A, Kampung Tasik Tambahan, Ampang, Selangor. In response, 20 firefighters were dispatched from Pandan Indah, Ampang, and Cheras to the scene.
According to Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Mukhliz, a total of four double-storey terrace houses were seriously damaged in the fire, with two houses having about 70% of their structures destroyed, while the other two sustained around 40% damage.
He said that the fire was brought under control by 3:30 pm.
He added that so far, the authorities have not received any reports of casualties, and the cause of the fire and property losses are still under investigation.
