On the 22nd, the US House of Representatives passed an appropriations bill totaling $95 billion (approximately RM388.2 billion), mainly to support the Trump administration's military actions in Iran.
The bill passed by a vote of 216 to 214, with voting almost entirely along party lines. All Republican lawmakers voted in favor, while all Democratic lawmakers opposed.
Of the bill’s appropriations, $60 billion is allocated for matters related to the Iran war, $13 billion for other national security affairs, $12 billion in subsidies for farmers affected by the Trump administration’s tariff policies, and an additional $10 billion for election law reform.
The bill will next be reviewed and voted on by the US Senate. If approved, it will be sent to the White House for the President’s signature before becoming law.
