According to Thai media reports, the 33-year-old Norwegian man was arrested on the 5th in front of a Marriott Hotel in the Sukhumvit district. He later lost control emotionally at the police station and injured himself by banging his head against the iron bars in the detention room.
Prior to the incident, police officers patrolling their designated area received a report from headquarters about an incident at the entrance of Soi Sukhumvit 25. Upon arriving on the scene, a man reported that while he was driving his tuk-tuk through the spot, a foreign man approached pretending to ask for directions, then pushed him to the ground and tried to forcibly take the tuk-tuk.
