Lee Khai Loon: Flag Misplacement Is Totally Avoidable with More Sensitivity and Carefulness

(Machang Bubok, 10th Aug) Machang Bubok state assemblyman Lee Khai Loon stated that the recent incident of incorrectly hung national flags was actually due to insensitivity, and such mistakes can be completely avoided. Everyone should be more sensitive and careful to ensure better understanding and respect towards the nation.
Lee Khai Loon mentioned that the Prime Minister recently announced several people-centric policies, showing genuine care for the rakyat. He emphasized that citizens should unite with the Prime Minister and work together to ensure the true spirit of independence is deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

He made these remarks while speaking at the “Spirit of Independence Carnival” held in Machang Bubok, Seberang Perai, Penang, on Saturday night (August 9).

On another note, he pointed out that while the Alma area is developing rapidly, it also faces challenges such as floods, safety issues, and traffic congestion. To address the concerns of the public, various government agencies held a dialogue session during the event, providing a platform for the public to raise livelihood issues, with representatives present to listen and immediately offer solutions.
The day's activities included children’s costume and coloring contests, e-sports competitions, mini-lectures, government-public dialogue sessions, and a 3-kilometer Madani Unity Walk, among others.
Lee Khai Loon said that this carnival was not just for entertainment, but also served as a platform to gather and listen to public opinion, and to promote unity through fun and beneficial activities.
Attendees included Seberang Perai City Councillor Tan Run Fai and Central Seberang Perai Information Department Director Zamir.
