For the first time, Hao Ge (Huang Shihao) teams up with Eric Zhuo Junhao to form the “Double Hao Duo” and launch the Year of the Horse festive song, “Ma Ni Lai Wo Jia”. Zhuo Junhao said that being able to collaborate and compose with Hao Ge excites him greatly. This marks his second New Year’s creation since releasing the catchy song “She Me Dou Ke Yi” this year, which surpassed one million views. He laughed and exclaimed, “I hope this song can break 2 million views!”
Hao Ge revealed that their connection began at a singing competition he organized, “At that time, Zhuo Junhao was a contestant. Later, I invited him to participate in the MV for my New Year’s song ‘She Xing Diao Shou’, and ‘Ma Ni Lai Wo Jia’ is the first song we’ve written together.” The tune was composed by Zhuo Junhao, with both of them co-writing the lyrics. The lineup also features Yubie Lin Jiawen, Lindsey Ye Lisi, and Kellycherray Lin Zhiyin.
The inspiration for the song comes from the homonym for “Money Come My Home”. Hao Ge said he hopes the simple, catchy bilingual lyrics will leave a lasting impression. He revealed that the song was revised more than ten times before its final version. When asked if there were disagreements during the creation process, Hao Ge laughed and said: “Junhao approved all my lyric changes—maybe since I’m the senior, he wouldn’t dare to change them.” He also mentioned that sparks flew during their first collaboration. Zhuo Junhao confessed that his first attempt at a New Year Festival song, “She Me Dou Ke Yi” last year, surprisingly exceeded a million views. To be able to take on the challenge again this year, and complete it with Hao Ge, is very special.
There were also several little stories behind the scenes of the recording and MV shoot. Lin Zhiyin revealed that she suddenly lost her voice before recording but, thanks to a “secret remedy” from Ye Lisi, gradually recovered. Ye Lisi, for the sake of matching outfits for all five of them, especially reached out to friends for clothing sponsorship, which deeply touched her. Lin Jiawen joked that she fell on her home stairs and hurt her foot before the MV shoot, but as the shortest among the five, she still insisted on wearing high heels to complete the filming.
