Japan's largest airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA), announced on the 29th that due to an urgent recall of Airbus A320 series aircraft, the company was forced to cancel 65 flights.

ANA and its low-cost subsidiary Peach Aviation are the largest users of Airbus single-aisle aircraft, including the A320 series, in Japan.

ANA announced that, because of maintenance required for Airbus A320 and A321 small passenger planes, flights would be canceled starting from the morning of the 29th.

As of the end of September, ANA operated 37 A320 and A321 aircraft, of which 34 are affected.

Low-cost carrier Peach also uses the same aircraft models but stated, "This round of maintenance has not caused any flight cancellations."

Another major Japanese airline, Japan Airlines (JAL), is not affected, as it does not operate the two models in question.

In South Korea, Korean Air said that a total of 10 Airbus aircraft are subject to the recall and that software updates would be completed by the morning of the 30th.

Asiana Airlines anticipates that its flights will not be significantly affected, as the recall only involves 17 of its planes.
