Jackie Chan Criticized for Not Taking Care of Jackie Chan Stunt Team: 'Are You Taking the Money to the Grave?'

Hong Kong action films were once very popular, with Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung being the stars of that era. Both trained a group of martial arts actors to serve as their stunt doubles, known as the “Jackie Chan Stunt Team” and “Sammo Hung Stunt Team” respectively. They are all familiar with each other. Recently, a member of the Sammo Hung Stunt Team, Chung Fat, appeared on the YouTube channel “Brother Wai’s Club” and candidly criticized Jackie Chan for not taking good care of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team brothers who risked their lives for him, questioning him from afar: 'Are you taking your money to the grave?!'

During the interview, Chung Fat repeatedly thanked Sammo Hung for his support, allowing members of the Sammo Hung Stunt Team to become independent, while contrasting this with Jackie Chan's treatment of his team. Chung Fat said, 'Mars is the most unfortunate and hardest working one; all the stunts were done by Mars. Zhang Hua, Mars, and Li Jian Sheng all worked very hard. Jackie Chan, giving even a fraction (of your assets), without saying much, would be enough to support them for a lifetime. Why would you not do that? Are you taking your money to the grave? Don't forget these brothers who fought alongside you to build your career. Could you have reached your current status without these people? I'm serious, Li Jian Sheng is so afraid of being in the hospital for so long!'

Chung Fat recalled a dangerous scene from the 1985 film “Police Story,” where two people were arranged to dive headfirst from a double-decker bus. After completing the shoot, the two lay on the ground in great pain. Chung Fat said, 'For the scene where the bus crashes, Fujian Sheng and Li Jian Sheng were unconscious for several days, and you (Jackie Chan) didn’t care about them, so I have come forward to expose this, and I am fully qualified to talk about these things.'
