Esther Yu's Bullying Scandals Explode in Succession—Zhang Haoyue: 'It's All True, She's Welcome to Sue Me'

Chinese actress Esther Yu has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to hit dramas like Love Between Fairy and Devil and The Longest Promise, but she has recently been repeatedly accused of school-style bullying by her former co-star Zhang Haoyue. In a lengthy post, Zhang Haoyue stated bluntly that she suffered 'soft violence' over a long period during filming of Grade One. Although the other party never laid a hand on her, 'the cold treatment and isolation were worse than punches—they killed me countless times.'
Zhang Haoyue emphasized that this was not a simple showbiz quarrel, but a serious social issue. She revealed that she was treated as invisible, ostracized from conversations, and subjected to public ridicule and threats of isolation—eventually developing severe anxiety and depression, ultimately forcing her to withdraw from the entertainment industry. She further pointed out that the cunning part about this form of bullying is that 'as soon as the victim cried,' they would be ridiculed as 'unable to handle it,' while the perpetrator appeared innocent and shifted responsibility.
Responding to outside skepticism that she was just 'writing long emotional posts to chase clout,' Zhang Haoyue decided not to back down any longer, taking a stand to publicly state, 'It's all true; she's welcome to sue me,' even inviting third-party evidence to verify influence and financial status. She sharply criticized her counterpart's inability to understand after all these years: 'Because even after losing everything, she can still live a carefree life, while I have to struggle for every bit.' Zhang Haoyue revealed that after filming ended, she was bedridden for two months, unable even to perform basic daily tasks, saying this experience shattered her life completely.
