(Miri, 4th) Miri District Police Chief Assistant Director Alexsen Naka issued a statement today stating that the Maritime Intelligence Unit (URM) of the Tactical Headquarters of Zone Five Water Police intercepted and inspected a white Toyota Hilux single-cab pickup truck on the roadside of Melor Bekenu Road in Miri on March 3rd at 4:50 PM, finding it carrying suspected illegal diesel.
This operation is part of "Op Taring Landai," executed by one police officer and four policemen. The police confirmed that the vehicle was driven by a 46-year-old local man, suspected of violating the "1961 Supply Control Act."
Seized items include a Toyota Hilux single-cab pickup and diesel, with a total value of RM105,000.
All seized items and the suspect have currently been handed over to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) for further investigation and relevant action.
