(Miri, 1st) Chairman of the Sarawak Fang Clan Association, Fang Xiaoxiu, stated that with the new year comes new beginnings—clan members and elders from various provinces have gathered together to bid farewell to the past year, joyously welcome the Spring Festival, and look forward to a promising future together. He also hopes that in the new year, the association's affairs will reach even greater heights.
He said the Spring Festival Gala is an annual event for the Sarawak Fang Clan Association. In the past two years, it was held alternately in Sibu and Bintulu, mainly to allow clan members from various provinces to feel a sense of hometown warmth, offer a platform for mutual care and communication, and to keep everyone updated on the association’s annual business progress.

He pointed out that the association now owns a three-storey shop lot as its headquarters. This achievement is thanks to the financial support, efforts, and dedication from clan members and elders across different provinces, as well as the contributions of all committee members. Although there were many misunderstandings during the process, everyone remained steadfast, united, and together established a new 'self-sustaining' headquarters for the association.
Fang Xiaoxiu also mentioned that nowadays, we have entered the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and parents should seize this opportunity to educate the next generation to make good use of AI technologies and contribute to society. He said that scholarships are a form of encouragement and motivation—he hopes the recipients will work even harder, and those who did not receive awards should double their efforts and achieve good results next year. This year, a total of 42 young clan members received scholarships, sponsored by advisor Fang Zhongyou.
He added that the funding for association activities has also benefited from the support and care of Lee Kim Shin, to whom he expressed his gratitude for always looking out for the association.
