(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) The Halal Food Control Unit under the Syariah Affairs Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Brunei, reported that as of December 2025, a total of 58 Halal certificates or Brunei Islamic Religious Council licenses had been approved nationwide, involving numerous enterprises and food establishments.
Among these 58 approvals, there were 14 Halal certificates and 2 new license applications; at the same time, 37 Halal certificates and 5 license renewals were also approved.
Regarding newly applied Halal certificates, the approved venues include: Substation Restaurant and Catering Sdn Bhd (Tutong Hospital branch), Fun2 Steamboat & Grill, Angel Care House (Lambak branch), Coffee Industry Entrepreneur, After Chukkas Restaurante Asador, Borneo Kopitiam Restaurant and Catering (Gadong ground-level kiosk branch), Gripss Cafe (Gong Cha) (Kampung Salar branch), Jamarane Enterprise (Panchor Murai Primary School canteen), Jolokia Restaurant, Malsa Restaurant & Catering, Perusahaan Aniq Syafii, Suasana Kopitiam, The Sibs Enterprise, and Rise Sdn Bhd (Chewie).
As for the newly approved license applications, the recipients are Dapur Lagenda.bn and Rise Sdn Bhd (Chewie).
For Halal certificate renewal applications, the approved businesses include Assalam Trading Company, Lamee Restaurant, Phoenix Star Company, Small Village Cafe & Restaurant, Substation Restaurant and Catering Sdn Bhd (multiple branches), Ya-Nur Trading Company Sdn Bhd, Aida Nabila Cafe, Almalabar Restaurant Sdn Bhd (multiple branches), Derimba Restaurant, Entrek (B) Sdn Bhd (Jollibee multiple branches), Kate’s Catering Restaurant (multiple branches), OTCInc Sdn Bhd (Pizza Hut multiple branches), Serikandi Cafe & Restaurant (multiple locations), Tarobubblezonecafe, and Kysar Sdn Bhd.
