BLNG is delighted to announce that Mr. Niels Dekmann has officially become the company’s new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dekmann brings with him 30 years of industry experience.
Mr. Dekmann is not new to Brunei or the Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV), having served at Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) from 2015 to 2018. This experience has given him an in-depth understanding of local circumstances and the shareholders’ environment, enabling him to closely align with the nation’s development vision and lay a solid foundation for the future growth of Brunei LNG. His oilfield career spans various fields including reservoir engineering, asset development, and asset management, and he has held leadership positions in Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Russia, Italy and the UK, bringing a valuable global perspective that will provide important strategic support for the future development of Brunei LNG.
As Brunei LNG undergoes its leadership transition, the company also extends heartfelt gratitude to the former Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Adeleye Falade, for his significant contributions in driving Brunei LNG’s performance, cultural transformation, and inspiring employees to continuously break new ground in working “safer, further, faster.” The strong foundation he established and the progress achieved will continue to guide Brunei LNG and play an important role in the years to come.
