The 78th Cannes Film Festival is underway, and the new film "The Wild Era," starring Shu Qi and Jackson Yee, is the only Chinese-language film to enter this year's main competition section. Director Bi Gan appeared on the Cannes red carpet along with Jackson Yee, Shu Qi, Zhao Youting, and other cast members. The premiere received a 7-minute applause. After the screening, Jackson Yee was seen with wet eyes.

Shu Qi wore a burgundy velvet strapless gown adorned with Chinese embroidery at the back, slightly revealing her beautiful back, exuding elegance and sensuality with her full goddess aura. Chinese male star Jackson Yee, who rushed from Taiwan to Cannes for the premiere, donned a black velvet suit, looking handsome.

In 2018, Bi Gan's "Long Day's Journey Into Night" was selected for the Un Certain Regard section but unfortunately did not win an award. This time, he has another film selected for the Cannes Film Festival. Shu Qi is a regular at Cannes, with previous works like "Three Times" and "The Assassin" selected for the main competition section. In 2009, Shu Qi even served as one of the jurors for the Cannes Film Festival's main competition section.

"The Wild Era" tells the story of a woman who, while in a deep sleep during surgery, discovers the remains of a bio-robot in her consciousness. She revives him in a bizarre manner. As the robot's senses gradually awaken, they together plunge into the sea of human consciousness.
