The seventh season of China’s popular singing competition show ‘Sisters Who Make Waves’ is about to kick off this March, and the final list of 30 contestants has been revealed, sparking polarizing reactions. The previously rumored big names like Maggie Cheung, Lin Chi-ling, Vivian Hsu, Ariel Lin, and Hannah Quinlivan are nowhere to be seen, leading many netizens to comment, “There’s not enough center-stage presence.” However, Golden Melody Award winner Penny Tai and former lead vocalist of F.I.R., Faye (Zhan Wenting), who took the Mandopop world by storm with the hit ‘Lydia,’ have been singled out as those most likely to stir waves of nostalgia.
