The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) issued a statement on the 26th, saying that the Singapore-registered container ship was struck by an unidentified projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on the 25th, resulting in minor damage, with all 21 crew members on board safe.

The statement said that the cargo ship, named "Dawn Bliss," was hit by an unidentified projectile in the bridge area as it was leaving the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel has since successfully passed through the Strait and is continuing its voyage.

The statement pointed out that there were no Singaporean nationals on board.

The statement stated that this incident happened without cause, is entirely unreasonable, and is a violation of international law. All actions affecting international shipping must fully comply with international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and must not jeopardize the safety of seafarers and vessels at sea.

International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General Dominquez said on the 25th that he was informed a vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz was attacked that day in the Gulf of Oman, and that the vessel was not following the IMO's transit guidance.
