(Seri City, 5th) To mark the fifteenth day of the first lunar month of the Bingwu Year, Teng Yun Temple in Seri City yesterday held a grand ceremony to celebrate the birthday of the Supreme Heavenly Official of the First Rank, the Emperor of Auspicious Light and Vital Yang, and the Ziwei Emperor. Many devotees gathered at the temple to pray for good fortune and blessings.
During the event, Teng Yun Temple reverently invited deities and Buddhas to preside over religious rites, and conducted a ritual lighting of blessing lamps to seek the heavenly official's blessings, praying for favorable weather, national prosperity and peace, and safety and auspiciousness for all devotees.
After the completion of the rituals, the temple followed traditional procedures to respectfully send off the Jade Emperor and the Three Great Officials.
Among those present were the temple's chairman Li Yongzhen, deputy chairman Cheng Yongming, vice chairmen Lin Dencai, Cheng Yongnian, Lin Denyuan, Chen Lirong, and others.
