Li Qiang inspected the Ganjiang Innovation Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and relevant rare earth enterprises to learn about the progress of scientific research and transformation of achievements in the rare earth field, visited production lines and products, and held discussions with heads of enterprises and scientific research institutions.
Li Qiang said that the important value of rare earths in the development of advanced manufacturing industries and promoting green and low-carbon transformation is becoming increasingly prominent. Rare earth resources should be developed rationally, overall planning should be strengthened, the industrial layout should be improved, the recycling system should be improved, and the level of efficient and intensive utilization should be raised.

According to reports, Li Qiang stated in a discussion that ecological protection should be given priority, the green standards system for all stages of production and processing should be improved, and green development over the full cycle should be promoted.
