Anita Yuen Reveals: Offended Executives Over Script and Was Frozen Out

Anita Yuen participated in the Chinese reality show "Peach Blossom Dock 6". Recently, she mentioned her past experience of being "frozen out" by TVB during the program.
She entered the industry in 1990 after winning the Miss Hong Kong pageant, initially working as a music program host, but soon realized that this was not her passion.
In 1991, she took on her first TV drama "I Love Rose Garden" and played arch-enemies with male lead Eddie Cheung. However, the plot suddenly had them start dating for no reason, which made her feel the script was illogical. Because of this, she boldly questioned the executives, asking, "How can you write it like this?" This annoyed them, and she was subsequently "frozen out," with no acting opportunities. It was not until her contract with TVB ended that she transitioned to the film industry. In 1994 and 1995, she won Best Actress for "C'est La Vie, Mon Chéri" and "He's a Woman, She's a Man."
