A Chinese mainland female tourist surnamed Xu, who was traveling in Kinmen, was involved in a traffic accident and sustained serious injuries. Xu and her relatives were sent back to Xiamen for treatment on the morning of the 19th aboard the first "Mini Three Links" ferry.

Xu's husband arrived in Kinmen on the evening of the 18th and, after discussing with medical staff at Kinmen Hospital, expressed the wish to have his wife transferred to Xiamen for treatment as soon as possible. Adhering to the principle of "putting the injured first," the county government immediately activated emergency transfer procedures, integrating medical teams and special immigration clearance measures. The transfer was completed smoothly on the first ferry of the day.

Accompanied by medical staff from the Ministry of Health and Welfare Kinmen Hospital, Xu was transported by stretcher directly into the "Mini Three Links" terminal, assisted by volunteers including Lü Zhongfei, Secretary-General of the Kinmen Red Cross. Kinmen Hospital sent an additional nurse to accompany the ferry, along with Xu's husband, who is a doctor. Together, they took the first ferry to Xiamen.

The 33-year-old Xu had come to Kinmen with friends for a three-day, two-night self-guided tour, and was scheduled to return on the 18th. However, on the day of her departure, her electric scooter was reportedly rear-ended by a small car, leading to a cerebral hemorrhage and severe injuries. She fell into a coma after being admitted to the hospital.
