Chinese 28-year-old actor Li Mingde, who starred in hit dramas such as "The Longest Promise", lost control of his emotions in January and smashed a parked Mercedes on the roadside, for which he was sentenced to six months in prison and was only recently released. Unexpectedly, soon after being released, he is reportedly being sued by a drama production crew.
According to China's Qichacha app, on the 3rd, the court publicly released hearing information regarding a reputation rights dispute between Jilin Chaoye Film & Television Co., Ltd. and Li Mingde, with Li Mingde as the defendant. The case is tentatively scheduled for a court hearing on October 21 in Jilin. It is reported that the plaintiff is the official production company of "Three in a Row".
In January, Li Mingde suddenly lashed out at Ma Tianyu, the male lead of the drama "Three in a Row" with whom he worked. In addition to accusing Ma of acting like a diva, he also claimed the production crew practiced favoritism, and posted his own contract termination letter, stating his intention to sue the crew. However, unexpectedly, not only did his lawsuit fail, but he was first imprisoned for property damage.
