(Sri Aman, 27th) During a special 'Op Tapis Khas' operation on Thursday (February 26), Sri Aman police arrested four suspects, including one female.
Sri Aman District Police Chief Dennis Bunyam stated that the suspects were apprehended by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Team at around 7:30 a.m.
He pointed out that the suspects led police to a straw containing a small packet of suspected methamphetamine crystals.
"The case is being investigated under Sections 12(2) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he added.
Preliminary urine screening showed that all four suspects tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Background checks revealed that the male suspects have drug-related criminal records, while the female suspect has no such record.
