A taxi driver, during rush hour after work, noticed his passenger suddenly clutching his chest and shouting, 'I can't take it anymore, please hurry!' After informing the police, the driver sped through red lights with his horn blaring and managed to get the passenger to the hospital in just 12 minutes, saving his life. The driver later said, 'Even if my license gets revoked, saving the person comes first!'

According to a report from Jimu News, the 56-year-old taxi driver, Qiang Chao, from Qingyang, Gansu, China, has over 20 years of professional experience. On the afternoon of October 15th, he picked up a middle-aged male passenger at Qingyang Station, whose destination was the First People's Hospital of Qingyang City.

According to Qiang Chao, the passenger appeared normal when getting into the vehicle, only lying down in the back seat. But en route, he suddenly experienced rapid breathing, clutched his chest, and shouted, 'I can't take it anymore, please hurry!'

Qiang Chao realized the situation was critical and immediately called the police to explain he needed to run red lights to get to the hospital. He sped all the way with his horn on, running several red lights and changing lanes frequently during the rush hour traffic, finally completing a journey that would normally take over 20 minutes in just 12 minutes, bringing the passenger safely to the hospital.

Since the passenger was unaccompanied by family, Qiang Chao waited outside the emergency room for more than an hour, only leaving after confirming that the passenger was out of danger.

Afterwards, Qiang Chao's taxi company, upon learning of the incident, issued a certificate to help cancel the traffic violations, and publicly praised his heroic actions.

The company's safety manager, Gou Yaoyan, pointed out that Qiang Chao's actions demonstrated a noble character and set an example for the industry.

According to the hospital's diagnosis, the passenger suffered from 'hyperventilation syndrome and palpitations to be determined.' After receiving treatment, he was discharged the following day.

On the 21st, Qiang Chao called the passenger to check on his health. Regarding the incident, he modestly said, 'Any taxi driver would have made the same choice when faced with such a situation.'
