The US Department of Defense began gradually releasing documents related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs) on the 8th, stating that the government is still unable to draw definitive conclusions about the nature of the observed phenomena.
These documents are stored together on a dedicated government website. Currently, the website has uploaded 161 files, including videos, photos, and original data documents.
The Pentagon stated that more documents will continue to be released in the future.
The Pentagon pointed out that the documents released this time are brand new and previously unseen, relating to events that remain inconclusive. The government is still unable to determine the true nature of the observed phenomena, due to reasons including insufficient relevant data and information.
The Pentagon welcomes private enterprises and the public to use their analytical abilities, information resources, and professional expertise to assist in related research. All disclosed documents have passed national security reviews, but many materials have yet to undergo professional analysis and interpretation.
This release of UFO-related documents is in accordance with a directive from US President Trump. In February this year, Trump ordered the launch of relevant procedures to identify and declassify all government documents related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), UFOs, and related matters, in order to increase transparency regarding these incidents.
