Hard Work Pays Off: Dasan Rovers Crowned Champions

(Miri, 14th) The Dasan Rovers team clinched the championship at the 2025 SMK Luak Open Indoor Football Tournament, writing a glorious chapter in their history.
The team successfully overcame two main rivals—JIMM FT, who took second place, and AFFT, who finished third. The top three teams won cash prizes of RM2,000, RM1,000, and RM500 respectively, along with trophies and medals.
The award ceremony was officiated by Miri Division Youth and Sports Officer Roley Lagir, with SMK Luak Principal Nancy Ngaran, PTA Chairman Suhaili Deraman, and sponsor representative Redzuan from Kendro Sdn. Bhd. also present as witnesses.
The event concluded successfully last weekend at the indoor football court of SMK Luak, Miri.
Nancy pointed out that this indoor football tournament was organized in conjunction with the 2025 National Sports Day celebrations.
She stated that the event not only provided a platform for players to showcase their talents, but also served as a good way to promote healthy lifestyles among local residents.
"At the same time, we hope that through such competitions, we can foster sportsmanship and a strong sense of team spirit among players and the community," she said.
