Typhoon 'Danas' has made its third landfall along the southeast coast of China, bringing fierce winds and heavy rain to regions such as Guangdong and Fujian. Due to the extreme weather, all schools in Fuzhou City were closed on the 9th.

According to Xinhua News, this year’s fourth typhoon, ‘Danas’ (tropical storm level), left Taiwan on the 7th and made landfall in Wenzhou, Zhejiang at around 9 p.m. on the 8th. Later that night, at about 11 p.m., it made its third landfall in Rui’an, Zhejiang.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue typhoon alert on Wednesday morning. Some areas in eastern and south-central Fujian as well as eastern Guangdong will experience heavy rainstorms, with extremely heavy downpours in some locations.

The Fuzhou Municipal Education Bureau in Fujian Province announced on Tuesday night that heavy to torrential rain, with some areas experiencing extremely heavy downpours, is expected across Fuzhou City on Wednesday. To ensure the safety of teachers and students, all educational and teaching activities will be suspended for one day on the 9th.

According to foreign media reports, Danas is currently crossing the provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian and moving toward Jiangxi and Guangdong, sweeping through high-tech industry hubs along China's southeast coast. Intense rainfall is expected to last at least until the 15th.
