(Muka, 4th) — Yesterday evening, a fire broke out in the indigenous court judge’s preparation room at Menara Pehin Setia Raja in town, but the automatic fire prevention system was quickly activated and successfully prevented the fire from spreading.
Muka Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) chief Assistant Fire Superintendent Nicholas Berulin said the department received the report at 5:42pm.
“After receiving the call, we immediately dispatched 8 personnel and 3 fire engines to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the affected electrical equipment had already been completely extinguished under the action of the automatic system.” he said in an interview today.
It is understood that the incident was first noticed by court staff, who smelled something burning and discovered smoke, and then called the police.
He added that no one was injured in the incident, and the fire department is still investigating to confirm the exact cause of the fire.
