Chinese singer Dan Yichun recently participated in the music program "Guoyue Wushuang" and performed the song "Really Want to Fall in Love" in the latest episode. Unexpectedly, the stage design for this song was accused of being highly similar to Japanese pop diva Namie Amuro's classic MV "Mint", sparking discontent among Amuro's fans and drawing attention from many netizens.
Amuro's fans pointed out that in the episode of "Guoyue Wushuang" aired on the 21st, Dan Yichun's stage design was almost identical to that in Namie Amuro's MV, including lighting, set layout, backup dancers, and costume styling. Amuro's fans are therefore demanding a response from Dan Yichun's team and the show's production unit regarding the issue.
In response, netizens are divided into two camps. Some believe that, as the performer, Dan Yichun should come forward and state her position; while many others point out that the stage art layout, choreography, and costumes for variety shows are usually handled by the production team and have little to do with the artists themselves. As of now, neither the production team nor Dan Yichun's team has responded.
