Malaysian songstress Shila Amzah, who is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut, will perform 40 songs as a tribute to her fans! She will be holding the Shila Amzah KITA 25 Tahun Bersama anniversary concert at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on August 15, singing Malay, Chinese, and English songs spanning her 25-year career. As a special surprise, she will also cover Jolin Tsai's "Love Strategy," hinting that there will be dance elements added to the show. She joked: “There’s no way I can sing Jolin Tsai’s songs just standing still!”
Speaking at a press conference on the 15th, Shila said that the concert is not only a celebration of her 25th anniversary but also a means to thank her fans for their ongoing support. She revealed that there will be 17 Chinese songs in her setlist. Besides performing her own classic works, she has also arranged tributes to the late Malaysian legendary singer Datuk Sudirman (Sudirman Arshad), pop king Michael Jackson, and queen of love ballads Fish Leong. Special guests for the night include Mimi Fly, Balan Kasmir, Kidd Santhe, Hael Husaini, and DJ Fuzz.
When asked about revealing the setlist in advance, Shila laughed: “Why keep it a secret? Fans also need time to listen to the songs! Some of the Malay and English songs might not be so familiar to everyone, so I hope they can get to know the songs beforehand and be more engaged at the concert.” In addition to the Chinese songs she previously performed on Chinese music shows, Shila will also cover Jolin Tsai’s “Love Strategy” this time. She joked that, other than Wang Leehom, she is also a huge fan of Jolin Tsai, and used to often watch their MVs in secondary school. Shila mentioned that while everyone thinks she’s only good at singing ballads, she actually enjoys dancing as well. “There’s no way I can sing Jolin Tsai’s songs just standing still!”
Aside from performing in Malaysia, Shila will also kick off her "Keep On Loving Me" China tour on August 1, with upcoming shows in Shenzhen, Changsha, Suzhou, and Hangzhou. Facing both the Malaysian concert and overseas tour back to back, she admitted feeling quite a bit of pressure, but considers it a rare opportunity. “Honestly, it’s pretty stressful, but right now is a very important time for me—a very important opportunity. I really can’t bear to say no. I just want to seize these chances.”
After her rise to fame on "I Am a Singer 2" in 2014, Shila recently returned to the Singer 2026 stage as a guest performer, singing "Can’t Help Falling in Love" with British singer Elliot James Reay, sparking calls from Chinese netizens for her to stay and compete for the title of Singer King. She admitted that she was so moved upon receiving the invitation that she and her manager were brought to tears. Now a mother of two and 36 years old, she stated she doesn’t want age to be a limitation. “Now is the best time, because now I have autonomy—this is very important.” As for whether she’d want to compete in Singer again, she said that she loves competitions because each experience helps her grow.
Speaking about her friend Jaclyn Victor’s recent win as Singer King in Singer 2026: Malaysia Edition and Jaclyn’s wish to invite her as a guest singer should she represent Malaysia in Singer 2027 next year, Shila laughed, saying Jaclyn would frequently call her for advice during the competition. She also suggested Jaclyn try singing Chinese songs: “If you always sing in English, you’ll lose the chance to challenge yourself on that stage.”
