(Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th) — The Brunei-China "Belt and Road" Promotion Association has successfully raised BND 100,500 this year to support the Crown Prince Orphan Fund (DANA), continuing its commitment to the welfare of the Brunei community.
The donation ceremony was held at the Sultan Fund Agency Building and was presided over by Brunei's Attorney General, who is also a board member of the Crown Prince Orphan Fund, Datin Hajah Nor Hashimah.
Accompanying attendees included Development Ministry Permanent Secretary and Acting CEO of the Crown Prince Orphan Fund, Noraini Haji Ibrahim.
This fundraising initiative received contributions from 108 members of the Association, including both corporate and individual members. In addition, some non-members—private enterprises and individuals—also gave generously.
The donations will be used to support DANA's various initiatives in Brunei to assist orphans, especially in helping them reduce school-related expenses and meet educational needs.
Following last year's fundraising of BND 100,500, the Association has raised a further BND 100,500 this year, reflecting the generosity and strong community support of its members and partners.
The Crown Prince Orphan Fund sincerely thanks all sectors of society for their support and donations, helping DANA to improve the welfare of orphans in Brunei.
Attendees at the donation ceremony included Brunei-China "Belt and Road" Promotion Association Chief Advisor Chan Kah Heng, President Hong Jian Yuan, Executive Vice President Dr. Yang Juzhuang, Vice President Wu Hourong, and other board members.
