Jakarta (Antara News Agency) — Indonesia's National Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata
Nusantara (Danantara) and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) will jointly manage a fund worth $4 billion for Indonesia's development.
This fund is jointly accumulated by Indonesia and Qatar, with each contributing $2 billion, and will focus on investment opportunities in various sectors, including downstream industries, healthcare, renewable energy, technology, and other areas deemed relevant by the fund managers.
Danantara BPI CEO Rosan Roeslani stated on Tuesday in Jakarta that Danantara BPI is fully prepared to ensure that the agreed investments are realized. He welcomed the trust placed by the Qatari government through the establishment of this joint fund.
“Danantara Indonesia is ready to fulfill this responsibility by implementing prudent, transparent, and result-oriented investment governance. Our focus is on ensuring that every funded project has a strategic and sustainable impact on the national economy,” Rosan stated.
He emphasized that this collaboration demonstrates the international community's trust in Indonesian institutions to manage large-scale investments.

“This partnership is a concrete step in establishing trust with global strategic partners like Qatar. It indicates that Indonesia is not only an investment destination but also possesses the capability to manage investments professionally and responsibly,” Rosan said.
Apart from strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, he hopes that this strategic partnership initiative (joint cooperation) and expanded collaboration will make tangible contributions to accelerating Indonesia's economic development and improving the welfare of its people.
During President Prabowo's official visit to Qatar on Sunday (April 13), the Indonesian government and the Qatari government agreed to establish joint cooperation in managing Indonesia's investment fund, with a focus on multiple development sectors.
“We have agreed to immediately strengthen cooperation. The Emir of Qatar will invest through Danantara Indonesia and is committed to providing $2 billion for this joint fund,” President Prabowo stated.
Danantara Indonesia is a strategic investment management agency established under Law No. 1 of 2025. As an independent agency under the President, Danantara Indonesia's mission is to manage and optimize government investments and state-owned enterprise assets to support the realization of the ‘Eight Visions’ (Asta Cita), national strategic plans, and government initiatives to accelerate industrialization and economic growth.
