(Bandar Seri Begawan, 10th) In order to broaden students’ pathways for further studies and assist them in planning their futures, Chung Hwa Middle School, Brunei, recently held the “2025 Higher Education Fair” on campus, providing students with a one-stop information platform for further education. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from all Year 10 and Year 11 students, receiving a warm response.
The fair invited well-known universities and educational consultancy agencies from Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, Australia, Switzerland, and Brunei to participate. The representatives introduced their academic strengths, scholarship policies, and admission requirements in detail via on-site consultations, video presentations, and distribution of materials, covering popular fields such as engineering, medicine, business, and the arts to meet students’ diverse needs for further study.
A total of 12 universities and colleges participated: Sunway Global Chef Academy, Business & Hotel Management School (BHMS) Switzerland, University of Reading Malaysia, Curtin University Malaysia, Victoria University Australia, Quest International University Malaysia, Raffles University, Cambridge Education Group, International School Brunei, Cambridge St. Andrew’s College and Cardiff College, Xiamen University Malaysia, and Laksamana College of Business.
This higher education fair aimed to provide Chung Hwa Middle School students with wider channels for further studies, preparing them thoroughly for their post-graduation academic journeys. The event was held on the morning of June 25 this year at the Peace Hall, co-organized by MMS Education Consultancy and MKGrowth Education Consultancy.
At the event, participants interacted face-to-face with university representatives to learn more about the education systems and career prospects in different countries. Attending students expressed that through this exhibition, they discovered their preferred academic programs and received relevant application advice specifically for Bruneian students from various universities, enabling clearer planning for their futures.
Principal Hoo Mooi Lan pointed out that the school is committed to building a bridge to connect students with international education. The fair not only provided information but also hoped to inspire students’ initiative to explore and to prepare early for the next stage of life. She added that the school will continue to organize career talks and alumni sharing sessions in the future to further strengthen the guidance system for further studies.
The successful hosting of this education fair marks another step forward for Chung Hwa Middle School in promoting students’ all-round development and connection to international education. It further demonstrates the school’s leading position in Chinese education in Southeast Asia and injects new vitality into its international educational cooperation initiatives.
