(Kuching, 24th) In the release of the 2024 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) exam results today, Sarawak's average score (GPN) reached 4.84, marking the best achievement since 2013.
Additionally, a total of 821 candidates in Sarawak achieved an all-A excellent result.
The Director of Sarawak Education Department, Omar Marli, stated at today's press conference that the lower the average score number, the better the overall exam results.
It is reported that since 2013, Sarawak's average scores were 5.31, 2014 was 5.44, 2015 was 5.47, 2016 was 5.34, 2017 was 5.17, 2018 was 5.19, 2019 was 5.18, 2020 was 5.07, 2021 was 5.17, 2022 was 5.07, and 2023 was 4.92.
He stated that this year, there were 33,039 candidates in Sarawak, and 821 candidates achieved all A+, A, and A- grades, accounting for 2.55% of the total candidates, an increase from the 726 candidates who achieved excellent results in 2023.
Candidates can download their results from today 10 AM until the 30th of this month at 6 PM by logging into myresultspm.moe.gov.my.
