(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei has approved the extension of checkpoint services until midnight during Malaysia's celebration activities.
This is also in response to the request made by the Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei on May 19.
The checkpoints will be extended till midnight for the period from May 23 to May 25, 2025.
This extension is to support Malaysia's events such as 'Beyond Waves and Rhythms' celebrating dragon boat races, folk dances, and food festivals.
The checkpoints included in this extension are Pos Kawalan Labu, Pos Kawalan Imigresen Kuala Lurah, and Pos Kawalan Imigresen Sungai Tujoh.
The application for the extension of operations at checkpoints for the Gawai Dayak Festival and Sarawak Governor’s Birthday Celebration will be announced separately.
