The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's drone attacked the US Navy's USS Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Oman, forcing the carrier and its escort destroyer to leave the area where they were attacked.

On the 5th, a spokesperson for the Central Command of Iran's armed forces stated that the American aircraft carrier USS Lincoln was hit by a drone from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard when it approached the boundary of Iranian waters, 340 kilometers out in the Oman Sea. The Lincoln carrier and its escort destroyer quickly retreated, withdrawing to waters more than 1,000 kilometers away.

Use of Super Heavy Missiles to Strike Israel

In addition, on the 5th, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard pointed out that they launched a "Khoramshahr-4" super heavy missile equipped with a one-ton warhead to strike multiple targets in Israel.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued announcement No. 21, which stated that on that morning, during the 19th wave of the "True Promise-4" offensive against the United States and Israel, Iran used the "Khoramshahr-4" super heavy missile with a one-ton warhead to strike central Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, and the Israeli air force base at the airport.

The announcement said these missiles, escorted by attack drones, successfully broke through Israel's multiple layers of defense.

The "Khoramshahr-4" missile is designed with a length of about 13 meters, a diameter of about 1.5 meters, and a weight of about 30 tons. It can reach speeds of up to Mach 16 outside the atmosphere, and about Mach 8 after re-entering the atmosphere. From launch to hitting US and Israeli targets within the area only takes 10 to 12 minutes, which is "enough to make many missile defense systems unable to respond effectively."

Data shows that the "Khoramshahr-4" missile has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and can be equipped with a variety of warheads.
