Their experiences prompted me to begin ‘retiring myself’ early, to avoid the same fate.” She said, “I witnessed my parents being abandoned by the industry at a certain age, losing everything that had given them fame, a living, and a livelihood.” Jamie Lee further shared, “I watched them achieve incredible success, only to then see it slowly slip away. That was very painful.”

She stated frankly, “I’ve been semi-retired for 30 years now. I’ve been preparing to leave, so I don’t have to suffer like my family did. I want to walk away from this circle before I get ‘left behind’.” Despite her plan to exit early, Jamie Lee’s career remains bright. Recently, she reunited with original cast Lindsay Lohan to star in “Freakier Friday,” the sequel to their classic 2003 family comedy, which is highly anticipated by fans.
