(Miri, 29th) – A traffic accident occurred last night on the Miri Airport overpass, resulting in a man being injured and trapped inside his car. Fortunately, the Lopeng Fire and Rescue Department responded quickly after receiving the report, successfully rescuing the injured person and sending him to the hospital for treatment.
According to reports from Zone 6 of the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, the incident was reported at 9:15 PM last night. The Lopeng team immediately dispatched an FRT Scania and EMRS rescue vehicle at 9:16 PM, arriving at the scene at 9:30 PM.

The entire rescue operation was completed at 9:40 PM. The rescue vehicles then left the scene at 9:42 PM and safely returned to the station by 9:53 PM.
This rescue operation was led by Commander Ariffin Abie, with police traffic officers and Miri Health Department personnel also cooperating at the scene and handling the transportation of the injured.
The Lopeng Fire and Rescue Department urges drivers to stay alert, especially when passing overpasses and main roads at night. Always remain focused to ensure road safety.
