Lee kim Shin and Service Team Enter Community, Listen to Public and Distribute Mother's Day Flowers

(Miri, 11th) In line with the weekly 'Mobile Service 2U' plan, the GPS SUPP Senadin constituency service center, led by Dato Sri Lee kim Shin, visited the SL Cafe on Sunshine Road, surrounding shops, and the food court and mall in Permyjaya this morning to carry out a 'community outreach' activity. The activity involved engaging face-to-face with the public, listening to their opinions, and distributing government assistance information.

 

Accompanying him were several city councilors, Kapitans, and members of the SUPP Senadin branch's youth and women's groups, including councilors Toh Kah Shiong, Dato Liu Siyuan, William Sim, Tian Xiulan, Kapitan Yu Juxiang, as well as Jeffery Phang and branch vice chairman and Lian branch chairman Guo Jianzhong.

 

This mobile service plan aims to strengthen the connection between the community and representatives, allowing residents to directly report residential issues, promoting immediate reporting and handling of problems. Dato Sri Li Jing Sheng stated that through this 'ground-level' service form, the team can better understand the real needs of the public, thereby enhancing the public's trust in and sense of involvement with government departments.

 

During the interaction, many residents reported basic infrastructure issues in their residential areas. The service team also promised to compile these issues and submit them to the Miri City Council for prompt handling.

 

Dato Sri Lee kim Shinemphasized that public opinion is key to policy improvement, encouraging citizens to continuously provide feedback on government services. He also acknowledged the proactive commitment shown by city councilors and Kapitans during the meetings and stated that they would work closely with related units to resolve the issues.

 

Additionally, the service team distributed the 2025 Sarawak Citizens' Special Higher Education Assistance Guide (RM1,200), encouraging Sarawak students enrolled in domestic public or private institutions to apply proactively. This aid is open to Sarawak citizens of all backgrounds to ease educational financial burdens on families.

 

The team also distributed the 2025 Senadin Constituency Emergency Contact Card to citizens so that they can contact the service center directly when needed for assistance.

 

Several elderly individuals also inquired about the application process for the Senior Health Welfare Plan, with the service team providing guidance and assisting them with the initial application, demonstrating the service center's care for the needs of different groups.

 

In conjunction with Mother's Day 2025, the Senadin constituency service center also presented carnations to mothers at the two locations, symbolizing gratitude and blessings, as a gesture of respect for the selfless contributions of mothers.

 

Dato Sri Lee kim Shin remarked that mothers are the pillar of families and society, and Mother's Day is not only a day of celebration but also a reminder for society to cherish maternal love. He also took the opportunity to wish all mothers a happy, healthy, and prosperous Mother's Day.
