US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher announced on social media on the 5th that she would no longer have 'any contact, meetings, or communication' with Polish Sejm Speaker Tomasz Grodzki, citing the latter's 'disrespect' towards US President Donald Trump.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Mosbacher stated that her decision was due to Grodzki's 'outrageous and baseless insulting remarks' about Trump, declaring, 'We will never allow anyone to undermine US-Polish relations' or show 'disrespect' to President Trump.
On the 2nd, Grodzki explicitly expressed his opposition to the proposal of awarding Trump the Nobel Peace Prize, saying he is 'not worthy of receiving the award.'
Grodzki also criticized Trump for threatening to annex Greenland and, on those grounds, imposing additional tariffs on European countries, calling those actions 'contrary to political principles and values, and in violation of international law.'
In response to Mosbacher's 'blacklisting' announcement, Grodzki told Polish media that he 'will not change his position.'
