Last week, Cai Yunge, who had just been appointed as a Standing Member of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has now been appointed Executive Vice Chairman and Deputy Party Secretary of Guangxi’s regional government.
Updated information in the leadership resume section on the official website of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region shows that Cai Yunge has been appointed Executive Vice Chairman and Deputy Party Secretary of the regional government.
Public information shows that Cai Yunge was born in December 1971 in Bazhou, Hebei Province, and obtained a doctorate in economics from the Financial Research Institute of the People’s Bank of China in 2008.
He has served as Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Deputy General Manager and Party Committee Member of China Everbright Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Deputy Party Secretary of Bank of Communications, as well as Vice Mayor of Chongqing.

Last Monday (January 26), the Guangxi Daily reported that the CPC Central Committee has approved Cai Yunge to become a member and Standing Member of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee. He is also an alternate member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
