(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) At the invitation of Vietnam's President To Lam, His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei will make a state visit to Vietnam from December 1 to 2, 2025.
During this state visit, His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei will meet with President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man of Vietnam.
Previously, His Majesty the Sultan had met with the Vietnamese Prime Minister during the APEC Economic Leaders' Informal Meeting (AELM) held in South Korea, and also during the 47th ASEAN Summit and related summits held in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sultan's most recent state visit to Vietnam was from March 26 to 28, 2019, during which the bilateral relationship was elevated to a comprehensive partnership.
Subsequently, the Vietnamese Prime Minister and his wife made an official visit to Brunei from February 10 to 11, 2023. Brunei and Vietnam maintain a strong and continuously developing comprehensive partnership.
The relationship between the two countries began in 1992 and has been continually strengthened through high-level diplomatic exchanges, booming trade, and cooperation in multiple sectors.
