Chen Helin’s post was incredibly blunt. He stated that after a week of filming intimate scenes with the actress, his own mouth began to feel bitter and sour, and he was infected with a foul, rotten smell. Chen Helin said he tried many ways to get rid of the bad breath, but nothing worked. Frustrated, he even went to see a doctor and used an oral probiotic spray, which finally solved the problem after days of distress. What was suspicious, though, was that Chen included a product link in his post, making people wonder if the whole post was actually a paid promotion.
Chen Helin’s behavior immediately drew criticism from netizens: “They’ll really do anything to sell products,” “The actress's side also said the actor gave her bad breath; maybe they coordinated the story,” and while it was indeed a promotion, some netizens worried that such tactics could cause other actresses to be wrongly suspected.
