43-year-old Korean goddess Jun Ji-hyun has been married to rich second-generation husband Choi Joon-hyuk for 13 years. He once dazzled with the phrase 'I want to be Jun's husband', but recently it was reported that Choi Joon-hyuk's 'Alpha Asset Management Company' faced a failed investment in a gaming company, resulting in a loss of at least 14.5 billion Korean Won (about 45.06 million MYR).
According to Korean media reports, Choi Joon-hyuk's 'Alpha Asset Management Company' made a hefty investment of 35 billion Korean Won (about 108 million MYR) in the gaming company 'WEMADE'. The company is best known for the game 'Legend Online', but his judgment was off. In February this year, 'WEMADE' was hacked, and its issued virtual asset 'WEMIX' evaporated 9 billion Korean Won (about 27.97 million MYR). 'WEMIX' was delisted from Korean digital asset exchanges, and although it was briefly relisted, it was delisted again due to security concerns. 'WEMADE's' stock price plummeted, resulting in significant losses for one of its major investors, 'Alpha Asset Management Company'.
Jun Ji-hyun and her husband Choi Joon-hyuk were elementary school classmates, began dating in 2010 through a mutual friend's introduction. It is said that once when she was ill, Choi Joon-hyuk took care of her warmly, winning her heart. Choi Joon-hyuk comes from a prominent family; his grandmother Lee Young-hee is a renowned Hanbok designer, and his father Choi Kun was a CEO in the steel industry, founding 'Alpha Asset Management Company' in 2002, and in February 2019 passed its management to his second son, Choi Joon-hyuk.
