Xu Wenlong, former Deputy General Manager of China Construction Technology Co., Ltd., has been put under investigation two years after his retirement.
On Sunday (September 14), the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission of the Communist Party of China announced that: Xu Wenlong, former Party Committee member and Deputy General Manager of China Construction Technology Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious disciplinary and legal violations and is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and by the Supervisory Committee of Zigong City, Sichuan Province.
Public information shows that Xu Wenlong, who is 62 years old this year, holds a doctorate in Resource Environment from Fukuoka University in Japan and serves as an adjunct professor. He previously served as the head of the Urban Construction Research Institute of China Architecture Design and Research Group, and was appointed Deputy General Manager of China Construction Technology Co., Ltd. in 2018. He stepped down from this position in July 2023 and officially retired.
Xu Wenlong has long been engaged in engineering technology research, design, and management related to urban solid waste treatment. He also served as president of the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation, member of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development’s Scientific and Technical Committee, and chairman of the Environmental Sanitation Professional Committee of the same ministry’s science and technology committee. He is a recipient of the State Council’s special government allowance for experts.
