(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) To recognize outstanding students and motivate members' children to strive for academic excellence, the Chung Hwa Alumni Association announces that the 2025 (2024 Academic Year) “Outstanding Academic Awards for Members' Children” is now open for application. This program aims to reward members' children who perform excellently in academics and provide continued support for their learning.
The Chung Hwa Alumni Association consistently upholds the mission of “promoting alumni fellowship and supporting educational development,” and has long been committed to nurturing talent in society and giving back to their alma mater and the community. This award program not only acknowledges outstanding students but is also a significant initiative by the alumni association to encourage the younger generation to pursue excellence and achieve success.
Eligibility:
Children of Chung Hwa Alumni Association members who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
1. Academic Performance: Applicants must have achieved excellent grades in the 2024 academic year. For specific standards, please refer to the “Award Application Guidelines” in the form.
2. Membership Qualification: The applicant's parent must be a registered formal member of the association.
To ensure smooth review, applicants must submit the following documents:
1. A copy of the member’s identity card;
2. A copy of the member's child’s identity card or birth certificate;
3. A copy of the 2024 report card or academic proof;
4. Two recent color passport-sized photos of the child.
Special Award Category:
Since its establishment in previous years, the special award has undergone new adjustments starting this year. Students who apply but do not meet the main award standard, as long as they have qualifying grades, will automatically be considered for the special award. This new regulation aims to further expand participation and allow more students the opportunity for recognition, motivating them to continuously pursue excellence and make consistent progress in academics.
The Special Award will be assessed comprehensively by the review committee based on the applicant's individual performance, with a focus on recognizing those who, despite not meeting the main award criteria, show positive effort, growth, and attitude in their academics. This initiative not only reflects the association’s attention to students’ overall development but also embodies the association's mission to encourage students to actively strive for academic excellence and pursue self-improvement through awards.
