On Tuesday, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation handed over the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) to the Prime Minister’s Department, marking Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening its green transportation agenda through low-carbon technology and achieving more sustainable economic growth in the future.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar noted that this initiative reflects the confidence of both local and international industry partners in Malaysia’s policies and direction, especially in developing a national hydrogen ecosystem.
He wrote in a Facebook post today (9th) that the handover of this vehicle also promotes cross-border cooperation and advances automotive innovation in the Southeast Asian region.
“The Madani Government will continue to lead the region’s transition towards green and smart transportation, ensuring that Malaysia is not only able to meet future demands but also creates a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable transportation landscape for the next generation.”
